Energy Labelling System for Fleets
The Energy Labelling System for Fleets is a voluntary certification scheme that intends to evaluate not only the fleets’ performance regarding fuel consumption and CO2 emissions but also its management systems.
Description
The Energy Labelling System for Fleets is a voluntary certification scheme that intends to evaluate not only the fleets’ performance regarding fuel consumption and CO2 emissions but also its management systems. It also provides a set of improvement measures, aiming to reduce the fleets’ energy consumption and promote a rational fleet management and behaviour. The Energy Labelling System for Fleets is similar to the ones already created for windows, domestic appliances and buildings, which are already managed by ADENE – The Portuguese Energy Agency. This Labelling System allows a better understanding of the fleets’ fuel consumption performance, promotes efficient behaviours and policies and the introduction of greener vehicles, and encourages a rational fleet management. The goal of the Energy Labelling System for Fleets is to encourage sustainable mobility and behaviours, improve the energy and environmental performance of national fleets, as well as reduce the fuel consumption associated costs of the Transport sector.
