Support the uptake of the heating energy labeling regulation, with a focus on the PACKAGE LABEL for highly efficient combinations of conventional and renewable heating systems.
The Label Pack A+ purpose is to support the implementation of the energy labeling of heating appliances (that entered in force in September 2015) while boosting its impact, the focus being on the PACKAGE LABEL and its potential to push for the uptake of renewable technologies, in particular solar thermal, in combination with efficient conventional technologies. Its main objectives are the development of a user-friendly online tool for the application of the energy labeling methodology, the definition of guidelines to clarify the responsibility of each actor in the supply chain, and to facilitate the exchange of product related information between all actors involved in the energy labeling process.
ADENE main activities include the coordination of WP2, dealing with the set up of the common tools and the definition of the Portuguese Action Plan, which encompasses the gathering of the National Stakeholders Platform, a network of relevant market agents within the Portuguese heating sector. ADENE is also responsible for organizing training courses aiming at professionals within public authorities, project designers, installers and the retail sector, as well as for developing materials and promoting the project in relevant events and for the deployment of the portuguese website.
